Welcome to Iceland in December!
Enjoy our Golden Circle day tour in a special holiday setting. How about exploring the Icelandic highlands in a modified Arctic Truck, away from all the general traffic? We experience some unusual stops, see Iceland´s most famous sights and enjoy special Icelandic Holiday specialties.
This is not your typical Golden Circle tour. This one is a little bit different and private.
We will take you on some off-road tracks on the way for some real super jeep adventure! There are many “off road” parts on the way that we can explore on the Arctic Truck.
Allow yourself to experience the famous Golden Circle, driven off the beaten path in an Arctic Truck. Start by getting acquainted with Icelandic history and geology while visiting one of the most beautiful Icelandic destinations: Thingvellir National Park. It is not only a geological gem, but also a historical one, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The name Þingvellir translates as “the fields of parliament”, as it was the site of Alþingi, the democratic legislative assembly, highest court and most important political institution of the Viking Age commonwealth. The entire Þingvellir region is located in a rift valley created by the drift of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. From here, we continue our journey towards Geysir geothermal area.
At Geysir geothermal area, home of the great Geysir hot spring that all the Geysers in the world are named after, the reliable Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes. You don’t want to miss out on seeing this incredible hot spring spout boiling water to a height of 30 meters.
We head into the highlands to test the modified vehicles in the Langjökull glacier area. As a part of our holiday spirit theme, we invite our guests to a special location where we stop to enjoy a holiday picnic where you get to try traditional Icelandic treats.
Last but not least, we head back to the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland´s most beautiful waterfalls that is a must-see attraction on the Golden Circle route.
